UNE VICTOIRE ET UNE DÉFAITE POUR LES PANTHÈRES D’EMBRUN

Après avoir récolté une victoire contre les Tikis de Brockville la semaine dernière, les Panthères d’Embrun ont été défaits en prolongation contre les Golden Knights d’Ottawa West. Panthères 2 contre Tikis 1 Les Panthères d’Embrun ont remporté une victoire de 2-1 contre les Tikis de Brock- ville le 7 novembre dernier. Ce sont les Tikis qui ont compté le pre- mier but du match, grâce à un tir de Jordan Dodge. Deux minutes plus tard, c’était au tour de Philippe Plante, aidé de Marc Bros- seau et d’Alex Rossides, de trouver le fond du filet et d’ainsi créer l’égalité. C’est Benjamin Hamilton, des Panthères, qui a compté le but victorieux à moins de 15 secondes à faire en dernière période. Ce dernier a d’ailleurs été nommé première étoile du match, suivi du gardien des pan- thères Joshua Ivanski. Jordan Dodge des Tikis a obtenu la troisième étoile du match.

The Castors are on the road Friday to Metcalfe to play the Jets then come back home Sunday afternoon to host the West Carleton Inferno. Vankleek Hill The Vankleek Hill Cougars keep trying to move beyond their third-place standing for the season so far in the National Capital Ju- nior Hockey League standings. The Cougars lost to the St-Isidore Aigles in Sunday night’s road game over the November 11 weekend. The Cougars got on the scoreboard with a single point in first period, went scoreless in second, and then pulled off a four-point rally in the final period that fell short against the home team’s lead. Scoring singles for Vankleek Hill were Samuel Drouin, Justin Labrosse, Jonathan Lacroix, Trystan Lavoie, and Jonathan Leb- lanc. Each of them also assisted on goals with additional scoring help coming from Tyler Allard, Nikolas Ayotte, Hugo Blanchard, Vincent Huneault, and Keean McEachern. Frédérick Durocher and Sébastien Moreau shared net-minding duties. Jacob Brunette and Kevin Howson each scored hat tricks for St-Isidore with Kalvin Cormier and Tyler Druce finishing up the points tally. Assisting on the goals were Brunette, Druce, Howson, Jeremy Arbour, Zackary Bougie, Miguel Crispin, and Ryan Wells. Lucas De Vries guarded the St-Isidore net. The Cougars are on the road Friday to Ottawa against the Bytown Royals. They return home Saturday night for a rematch with the Gatinau-Hull Volant.

Frédérick Gagnier, aidé par Joel Hunt et par Pierce Britton, a su compter un premier but pour l’équipe de Casselman en début de dernière période. Deux minutes plus tard, le joueur d’Ottawa Devin Saumur a répliqué en comptant un nouveau but pour son équipe. Joel Hunt, aidé de Louis Chabot et de Shawn Patterson, a compté le deuxième but des Vikings à moins de 30 secondes à faire en dernière période, menant ainsi le score final à 5-2. La tension entre les deux équipes était à son extrême et une bataille a éclaté à la fin de la période. Plusieurs joueurs des deux équipes ont récolté d’importantes punitions. Les Vikings de Casselman se classent deuxièmes au sein de la Division Martin avec 28 points, alors que les Jr Canadians d’Ottawa sont premiers avec 36 points. Vikings 6 contre Glens 0 Le lendemain, les Vikings de Cassel- man ont renoué avec la victoire à Alexan- dria, alors qu’ils ont blanchi les Glens au compte de 6-0. Les Vikings ont su compter deux buts durant chaque période de ce match. Brandon Légaré et Louis Chabot ont compté les buts en première période. Joshua Péladeau puis de nouveau Louis Chabot ont trouvé le fond du filet en deu- xième période. Frédérick Gagnier et Riley MacDonald ont confirmé l’avance des Vikings grâce à leurs deux buts comptés en dernière période. Les Vikings ont dominé le match au chapitre des tirs au filet, avec 55 contre 33 pour les Glens d’Alexandria. Les Vikings joueront au Complexe J.R. Brisson le 15 novembre face aux Timberwolves de Ren- frew. Ils affronteront ensuite les Golden Knights à Ottawa West le 17 novembre.

Clarence Creek The Clarence Creek Castors clobbered the Gatineau Hull-Volant Sunday afternoon at home over the November 11 weekend. The 5-0 score helps maintain the Castors’ second-place position in the National Capital Junior Hockey League season standings. Castors goalie Corey Camirand earned the team’s First Star Player of the Game nomination for holding back the Volant from any possible scoring chances during the three periods of play. Samuel Gaudet was the Second-Star-Player nominee with a pair of goals, and Third-Star-Player nominee was
Les Vikings de Casselman ont connu une première défaite après neuf vic- toires consécutives la semaine der- nière contre les Jr Canadians d’Ottawa. Ils ont renoué avec la victoire le lende- main, alors qu’ils ont blanchi les Glens d’Alexandria. Jr Canadian 5, Vikings 2 Les Vikings de Casselman ont perdu aux mains des Jr Canadian au Complexe J.R. Brisson le 8 novembre dernier avec le compte de 5-2. L’équipe d’Ottawa s’est imposée dès la première période en comptant trois buts consécutifs. En seconde période, les Jr Canadians ont ajouté un autre but à leur pointage. Connor Dobson, d’Ottawa et Etienne Agius-Pease, de Casselman, ont tous deux récolté des punitions de cinq et de 10 minutes pour s’être battu et pour inconduite vers la fin de cette période.
