Character & Leadership
Rooted in BGCMC’s culture of community service, respect, and care, Torch and Keystone Clubs create intentional spaces where young people learn to lead from the heart and experience the value of giving back. The Keystone Club is the BGC’s premier teen leadership program for members ages 14–18, empowering youth to lead service initiatives, explore career pathways, and take action on issues that matter to them. Through youth-led projects and guided mentorship, teens strengthen leadership skills, create action-oriented solutions, and drive meaningful impact. For our younger members ages 11–13, the leadership journey begins in Torch Club . Designed to meet the unique developmental needs of younger adolescents, Torch Club
builds character, responsibility, and teamwork through structured service and leadership experiences. In 2025, one of our Torch Clubs earned a national award for their work in health and well- being after members hosted a bilingual Family Night to help families navigate mental health conversations. Their BGCMC Torch Club advisor, Jenises, received the Torch Bearer Award for exceptional mentorship and leadership.
