GBG’s excellence hasn’t gone unnoticed: their project at 7201 Elizabeth Drive in McLean, Virginia earned them the Best Green Design and Construction Award from the NAHB’s Virginia chapter in 2023. “It’s always nice to be recognized by your peers,” Ned says. “We were ecstatic. But it’s also about mentorship. About providing a leadership role to new startups and new folks getting into the business.” Expanding the Mission GBG isn’t stopping at luxury homes. “We recently launched a new investment fund called the Missing Middle Housing Fund,” Ned reveals. “It’s going to be focused on providing more affordable housing that’s also sustainable and has an eco-friendly focus.” At the same time, the company is expanding geographically. Opening a satellite office in Los Angeles and eyeing markets like Miami and New York. “We’re trying to develop a product that’s focused on affordability, but also on our key focus of sustainability and eco-friendly construction,” Ned says. “We want to scale our company into a national brand over the next five years.”
