Suggested Strategy: Focus on specific goals and what motivates your coaching target.
Suggested Questions:
Î Rating Question: On a scale of one to six, with six being 100% all of the time, and one being pretty inconsistent, where would you rate yourself in how ready you are when you enter the office to take on the day and the tasks assigned to you? Î Opposite Insertion Question: How do you organize yourself when you first come into the office each day? How does your morning routine set you up for a successful and efficient day?
Suggested Activities:
Î GOAL-Based Coaching: What does the employee wish to become Great at in their career? What Opportunities may present themselves as a result of the employee becoming great? What Actions must be taken to reach those opportunities? What will the employee Love about reaching their goals? Î Whiteboard Coaching: On the left side of a sheet of paper or a whiteboard, write down how the employee thinks an outsider, such as their best friend, looking in would describe their motivation at work. Now on the right side, write down how the employee would ideally like to be described by an outsider looking in. If using a whiteboard, erase the left side of the board and write down what actions the employee thinks you could take together to reach the description on the right side of the board.
