Sphere College fundraises for trip
CUMBERLAND | Local private high school, Sphere College, situat- ed on Quigley Hill Road, is currently raising money for a cultural trip to Victoria, B.C., in May, 2013. The non-profit school specializes in a multilevel integrated study program and is fully bilingual. It works with students with many needs including dyslexia, ADD and ADHD, and accepts students from any ethnic background that represents a barrier to the stu- dent’s learning. It trains unilingual students to become bilingual in French and English, and teaches both to students without profi- ciency in either language. The school integrates knowledge and technology learning and also teaches environmental conscientiousness. This year the students worked hard at a variety of attractive and useful craft products which they sold at the Cumberland Christmas Farmer’s Market as part of their fundraising initiative.
