Les nouvelles technologies, notamment au niveau de la sécurité, sont à l’honneur dans ce bâtiment, selon M. Lemay. « On aura un système d’appel d’urgence moderne, c’est- à-dire que chaque résident aura un bracelet d’appel, qui permettra d’alerter le personnel
en place s’ils tombent ou s’ils sont en situation d’urgence. » Les premiers occupants pourront com- mencer à emménager dans le Manoir dès la mi-novembre.
La construction du Manoir Rockland a commencé il y a un peu plus d’un an.

A TEAM WITH EXPERIENCE The four owners behind the RocklandManor aren’t short of experience, when it comes time to tackle huge projects. The team has 14 projects under their belts.“It all started whenmy brother bought a retirement residence already established in the early 1980’s,” said Robert Lemay, one of the owners.“From there, he realized its pro"tability and began building his "rst residence. Then the whole family got on board. I have a big family, so I have other brothers who are involved.” Robert and George Lemay teamed up with Paul Cuerrier, then with Nancy Barreira. “We took our retirement four years ago, indicated Robert Lemay. We then decided to invest in Rockland. Nancy is a new partner and we are very happy to have her on our team, especially as she is a nurse herself.» The owners also stress that they listen to their residents. “We are improving all the time, said Nancy Barreira. We take note of the comments and requests of the residents, because they give us suggestions or their feedback.”
