What type of space, surfaces and materials are required? • Do you prefer clear counters or to keep frequently used items out on display? • Do you want continuity or separation between the kitchen and dining areas? • Is there easy access to the dining room? Is it easy to carry food, cutlery and dishes between the table and kitchen? • How often do you prepare meals at home? • How many people are involved in meal preparation? • When is the kitchen most often in use: Breakfast? Lunchtime? Daylight? Evening?

• How often and how many people eat in this room? • How often do you entertain? How many usually attend? • Do you usually prepare all food for parties or use a caterer? • How do you prefer to reference recipes- books, laptop, tablet, etc.?
