Team Risks

We run the risk of lack of continuity if there are leadership changes within the AfriLabs secretariat. We will mitigate this risk by ensuring the Afrilabs staff and members understand the key parts of the strategic plan, we will implement a leadership development plan and succession planning across all leadership levels where good staff members are trusted with more decision making power to increase experience, we will hire strategically to ensure we are bring in leaders and we document all key decisions and create processes for key operational tasks as articulated in our SP4 16 . We will build strong internal easily accessible repositories of all key documents.

Lack of diversity on a team can affect delivery. We run the risk of not having a team and operational structure that reflects our continental reach. We will mitigate this through. Strategic hiring and commissioning as articulated in SP4 17 .
