BOB HARTLEY PART POUR LA SIBÉRIE ET SE JOINT À LA KHL

Après les Hawks en 1987, sa carrière der- rière le banc des joueurs l’a amené à diriger les Titans de Laval, les Aces de Cornwall, les Bears de Hershey, l’Avalanche du Colorado, les Trashers d’Atlanta, les ZCS Lions de la Ligue nationale suisse, les Flames de Calgary et l’équipe nationale de Lettonie. Tout au long de ce parcours, les équipes qu’il a dirigées ont amassé trophées et accolades. En commençant par le cham- pionnat de la Ligue junior canadienne de hockey, la Ligue de hockey junior majeur du Québec, la coupe Calder de la Ligue de hockey américaine, la coupe Stanley de la Ligue nationale de hockey (LNH) et le championnat de la Ligue nationale de la Suisse. Il a également raflé le trophée Jack Adams pour le meilleur entraineur de l’année dans la LNH et a été entraineur d’une équipe
Robert ‘Bob’ Hartley a été nommé entraineur-chef des Avangard de la Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) le 27 mai dernier. Hartley remplace l’entraîneur Totov Ger- man. Le club Avangard, basé à Omsk, a été fondé en 1950. La KHL comprend 27 équipes réparties en quatre divisions et deux conférences, est et ouest. Les Avangard sont dans la division Chernyshev de la conférence de l’Est. Dans le cadre de son contrat, il sera en mesure de mener son camp de hockey en Pensylvanie en juillet. M. Hartley est engagé à 100 % à l’Avangard. « J’ai été bien impressionné par le président du club, Alexander Krylov, l’organisation et les amateurs de hockey d’Omsk », a confié M. Hartley aux animateurs
