1. PRECAUTIONARY STATEMENTS

APPLICATION OF AMTECH ADT DUST COLLECTORS

Process owners/operators (“responsible party”) are ultimately responsible for ALL installation, operation, and servicing of this unit.

1.6 Events in in dustry h ave demonstrated t hat fire s a re N OT u ncommon in som e co llection sys tems . Therefore, t he overa ll d es ign of t he system, i ncluding: placemen t of t he u nit, fire detection/suppression, spa rks mitigation e fforts, and main tenance, sho uld b e fas hioned with this in min d. Fire d etection/suppression sys tems, a s we ll a s, spa rk prevention m easures a re r ecommended. The smo ke detection/fire sup pression sys tems (i f so equipped) should b e installed b y qualified in dividuals, and in a ccordance with a ny local and stat e co des (if a ny). 1.7 Paintin g, machinin g, grindin g, sandin g, deburrin g or any p rocess t o fu rthe r manufacture or finish a ny volatile o r potentia lly volatile materia l, liquid or solid, is stri ctly p rohibited. 1.8 The air supply sys tem sho uld b e in stalled b y q ualified in dividuals, and in a ccordance with a ny local and stat e codes (i f a ny). 1.9 Workers a nd o perators a re t o b e in stru cted to k eep b urnin g o bjects, such a s cigarettes, saf ely a way fr om in lets leadin g t o t he eq uipment. 1.10 All p ersonne l in volved wi th t he u se o f t his eq uipmen t mus t comply with t he stat ements p ertainin g t o work e r safety a s n oted in t his manual.
