Through community engagement, this youth driven program provides local youth the opportunity to develop positive peer connections. SAS-E (SURVIVE ALIVE AND STRIVE – EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM) This new program is complementary to the Life Skills program where young people ages 15 – 27 can participate in a skills development employment training. The program offers 3-weeks of in class learning, one week of certification training (i.e., WIMIS, First Aid, serving it Right, Super Host, etc.,), and subsidized work experience while receiving coaching support from program staff. SOUTH ASIAN FAMILY STRENGTHENING TEAM (SAFST) This program is delivered in partnership with PCRS and provides 1-1 and group activities to strengthen families who may have a loved one who may be at risk for gang involvement. This program works in collaboration with HRYJ staff and is also an active member of the City’s CHART table.
SUPPORTED YOUTH INDEPENDENT HOUSING PROGRAM (SYIH) This program supports motivated young people ages 15 – 27 to pursue their educational, vocational, or employment goals, while receiving subsidized rental support for up to one year.
YOUTH TRANSITIONING PROGRAM (YTP) Provides 1-1 outreach support to youth ages 15 to 19, who are transitioning into adulthood.
