The Village of Casselman is now accepting applications for a bilingual Project Manager – Community Economic Development. The ideal incumbent must be available to begin work as of June 3, 2013.
Key Job Duties:
Under the supervision of the Chief Administrative Officer develop an action plan for each project listed below describing the steps which will determine the expectations and goals, critical points, implementation, deadlines, risk and success factors, budget and resources as well as the evaluation for the projects:
• Develop a path for active transportation; • Promote community economic development focused on creative industry; • Develop a maintenance and expansion program of local businesses.

JUNIOR BY-LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER AND LABOURER FOR PUBLIC WORKS FULL TIME PERMANENT POSITION
The Village of Casselman is now accepting applications to fulfill the position of By-law Enforcement Officer and labourer for the public works department. The municipality wishes to fulfill a need for both the By-law Enforcement services and the public works department with this full time permanent position.
Key Job Duties:
- Under the supervision of the Chief Administrative Officer and the Senior By-Law Enforcement Officer, this position is responsible for conducting inspections in order to establish compliance with by-laws, investigate complaints and interpret and enforce municipal regulatory by-laws and provincial laws affecting persons and/or properties. (ie: parking, yard maintenance, animal control, noise regulations and others) - Under the supervision of the Road Superintendant, the candidate will be responsible for road maintenance, repairs, sweeping, patrolling streets on a flexible schedule, grass mowing and others. Core Competencies: • Post secondary education or professional qualifications in the field of law enforcement. • Knowledge of the Provincial Offences Act, other acts and codes, municipal by-laws and property standards. • Ability to work with a minimum of supervision and under pressure while having competencies in customer service and conflict resolution. • Must be in good physical health to complete various required tasks
