Ready, Set, Go for It Go ahead! Make a New Year’s resolution to lose weight. Even if you’ve made that a resolution before—and didn’t capitalise on it—this year really can be different. You really can lose weight the healthy way. With some smart planning and real motivation, this is one resolution you’ll stick to. There’s plenty of good advice out there on setting goals. Start with your “why.” If you’re a Melaleuca Marketing Executive, chances are you’ve got a well-defined “why” for building your business. Why not define your “why” for losing weight as well? Think about it. What’s really driving you to make those changes to your lifestyle and health? Write it down. Display it somewhere you’ll see it often. Your “why” will motivate you to keep working toward your weight-loss goal day after day, week after week. Break your resolution into manageable steps. It may feel discouraging to imagine, for example, losing ten kilos by the end of 2017—but how about losing a quarter of a kilo a week? That’s already more doable. By the end of the year, by achieving all those easier week-long goals, you’ll naturally achieve your year-long goal. But don’t leave it at that. Healthy weight loss takes a smart daily plan. It doesn’t have to be complicated, but it does have to deliver daily results.
