1955 7 GAME SERIES DODGERS WIN, 4-3

T he Dodgers and Yankees both finished second in 1954, but they were back in the Series a year later. The Dodgers had another great season, and their fans were likely won- dering, yet again, whether this would be the year. The Yankees won the first two games at the Stadium. Joe Collins’ two home runs keyed a 6-5 slugfest in Game 1, and a four-run fourth inning was enough for Tommy Byrne in a 4-2 Game 2 win. The Dodgers fared much better at Ebbets Field, winning the next three games. Game 3 was an easy 8-3 affair behind
