of the IFES. The newly formed North American office is operating out of Fresno, California. Melvin J. Friesen is serving as North American Secretary. Dr. T. B. Madsen, retired vice presi­ dent of Trinity Theological Seminary and Trinity College in Chicago, died on October 5 only a few minutes after he had left the campus. Dr. Madsen served as president of Trinity Semin­ ary and Bible College when it was located in Minneapolis. He was serv­ ing as interim minister of the Nor­ wegian department of Salem Evan­ gelical Free Church, Chicago, at the time of his death. Dr. Bob Pierce, President of World Vision, is traveling with the 34-mem­ ber World Vision Korean Orphan Choir. The choir has embarked on a concert tour of 15 nations in Asia, Europe and North America. The tiny singers were selected from more than 14,000 orphans in 151 orphanages of South Korea which are sponsored by World Vision. This is the second tour the choir has made, the first begin­ ning in October, 1961 which took the choir coast-to-coast throughout the United States and Canada. Rev. Kenneth Dale Becker has recently been appointed as executive secretary of Gospel Fellowship Missions, ac­ cording to Dr. Bob Jones, Jr. president of the Board of Directors of the Gos­ pel Fellowship Association. The Gos­ pel Fellowship Association has estab­ lished a home and foreign missionary organization “because of the rapidly growing apostasy and the fact that so many mission boards that have hereto stood firm for the Word of God have been caught up in unscriptural compromise.” Since its formation last April, 25 missionaries have come un­ der the sponsorship of Gospel Fel­ lowship Missions. Mr. James R. Butcher, attomey-at- law, has joined the staff of Youth for Christ International. Mr. Butcher will serve as general counselor, direct the work related to wills, annuities and trusts, and work with the public rela­ tions department.

Evangelist Billy Graham and Represen- tatlve Walter Judd of Minnesota will be among the speakers at the Youth for Christ International second Capital Teen Convention, December 27-29. The staid capital city of Washington, D. C. is bracing for an invasion of more than 10,000 young people who will be arriving by special train, plane, bus and private car.
