Breakfast and good folks
The Russell Gauley Breakfast is always a great gathering of good-hearted folks in Vankleek Hill, and the 2016 edition was just that on May 1st. Hundreds came to the Community Centre for a friendly breakfast raising funds for the Canadian Cancer Society. In Vankleek Hill, Russell Gauley was always an inspiration; a good-spiritedmanwho cared about his community andmost importantly, those in need. “Cancer is a tricky business and even though I walk and give money to the Relay for life in Maxville, I’m here today because it’s a constant battle,” said Mary Dawson. “Cancer strikes every family and getting the upper hand isn’t always possible.
