NOTICE PUBLIC ROAD ALLOWANCES
The public meeting will be held in the Council Chambers located at 1560 Laurier Street in Rockland, Ontario on Wednesday, February 8th, 2012 at 7:15 p.m., at which time Municipal Council will receive written and/or verbal comments from the public. Information on the proposed by-law will be available January 20th on the website www.clarence-rockland. com or at the office of the Director of Community Services at 1560 Laurier Street, Rockland, Ontario.
The City of Clarence-Rockland requests your collaboration to tidy up any cumbersome objects (i.e. basketball nets, hockey nets, etc.) which are installed within public road allowances (City owned property including roadways, boulevards and sidewalks). This will facilitate the operations of snow clearing, household refuse collection and the passage of emergency vehicles, etc. GRASS CUTTING SERVICES REGISTRATION Parties interested in providing grass cutting services to the City of Clarence-Rockland for 2012-2013-2014 are invited to pick up a grass cutting services registration form. The registration forms may be obtained at the Rockland City Town Hall from the Community Services Department. All the contractors wanting to offer the grass cutting services must attend the information session on Thursday, February 2nd at 1560 Laurier Street, Rockland ON at the Council Chambers at 7:00 p.m. The registration forms shall be submitted at the information session Thursday, February 2nd 2012. Le Service des loisirs offre aux associations, clubs, et organismes locaux l’opportunité d’annoncer leurs activités et grands événements (autant culturels, communautaires, sportifs que sociaux) dans la prochaine édition du cahier d’Activités communautaires et guide du citoyens printemps/été 2012. Ce guide sera publié et distribué à toutes les résidences de la Cité au début du mois d’avril. Veuillez-vous assurer de seulement soumettre vos activités ayant lieu entre avril et août 2012. AVIS RÈGLEMENT SUR LE STATIONNEMENT DE NUIT EN HIVER Les règlements sur le stationnement de nuit en hiver sont en vigueur du 15 novembre au 1er avril . L’objectif est de permettre le déneigement des rues et des chemins afin que vous puissiez circuler en sécurité. Cela signifie que vous ne pouvez pas garer votre véhicule dans la rue entre 1 h et 7 h du matin. Les véhicules garés dans les rues alors que les restrictions relatives au stationnement de nuit en hiver sont en vigueur recevront une contravention de 55 $. Étant résidents et automobilistes, soyez attentif des prévisions météorologiques locales. Les interdictions de stationner demeurent en vigueur tous les soirs, par la suite, jusqu’à ce que les opérations de déneigement soient terminées. The Recreation Department is offering to local clubs and associations the opportunity to advertise their activities and events (cultural, social, community work or sports activities) in the next publication of the 2012 Spring / Summer Community Activity and Citizen’s Guide. The bilingual publication will be distributed to every households of the City at the beginning of the month of April. Please only submit your activities being held from April to August 2012. NOTICE OVERNIGHT WINTER PARKING
Winter overnight parking regulations are in effect throughout the city from November 15 to April 1 . The objective is to permit the snow removal from our streets and roads so you may travel safely. This means that you cannot park on City streets between 1 a.m. and 7 a.m. Vehicles that remain parked on the street during an overnight parking restriction will be ticketed $55.
As residents and motorists please be aware of your local weather. Enforcement of winter overnight parking restrictions will continue each evening until snow clearing operations are completed.
