Panattoni Development Company delivered a LEED designed 1,370,200 s/f build-to-suit industrial distri- bution center for Unilever in November 2012. The project, the nation’s largest industrial development in 2012, serves as the Northeast Distribution Center for Unilever’s family of consumer brand products includ- ing Axe, Dove, Hellmann’s, Knorr, Q-Tips, Ragu, Slim Fast and Vaseline. The project marked a return of ‘big box’ development in one of the most active in- dustrial markets in the country. The facility’s location enables Unilever to reach over 30% of the US popula- tion with daily round trips from the facility to the New York, Philadelphia, and Baltimore-Washington MSAs. Unilever was granted Beneficial Occupancy in Sep- tember, only eight (8) months from Lease Execution and was fully operational on November 1, 2012.
In 2012, Dermody Properties began development of a 70,000 square foot facility for lease to Albert’s Organ- ics, a national leader in organic food distribution. The chiller and freezer facility is located in the Dermody Properties’ master planned industrial park, Logisti- Center at Logan in Logan Township, NJ, and will be completed in April 2013. Albert’s Organics will have the ability to expand the warehouse and distribution center by 25,000 square feet, for a total of 95,000 square feet. This new facility replaces the company’s current facility located in Logan Township. Stonemont Financial Group served as the financial partner in the transaction.
Mack-Cali is developing a 203,000 s/f class A office building for Wyndham Worldwide Corporation, en- abling the hospitality company to consolidate its Par- sippany, NJ-based workforce within a single campus. The three-story granite and glass building is expected to be completed in first quarter 2013. The new building will be constructed adjacent to the 250,000 s/f Wynd- ham Worldwide corporate headquarters at 22 Sylvan Way in the Mack-Cali Business Campus – the class A office building Mack-Cali developed for the Company in 2009.

Stafford Park is a smart growth project located in the Regional Growth area of the Pinelands in southern Ocean County. The project typifies the sustainable nature of brownfield rede- velopment while going much further. The developer managed environmental issues such as LEED certification for all commercial buildings and an affordable apartment complex; sustainable energy components with installed solar and planned wind power; preserved lands through the use of a development credit program; created a plant and animal species management plan; and managed storm water by using captured rain water for irrigating the landscaping. Installation of a 6.5-megawatt solar farm is ongoing on a portion of a capped landfill.
The Klein Company’s newly opened Dwell Luxury Apartments is ‘greening’ the South Jer- sey rental landscape, delivering a sustainable living environment – inside and out – for the most eco-conscious of renters. Dwell’s focus on complete sustainability encompasses En- ergy Star® appliances, photo-sensitive lighting, water-conserving fixtures and whole-home ventilation, native plant landscaping and underground rain vaults, and Level 2 electric car charging systems.
