Michael Muller finished this year with an astonishing 150 deals closed, a truly remarkable number for a mortgage broker in the industry. Michael has been at Eastern Union since its inception 12 years ago and has been the number #1 producer and most active broker at Eastern Union for the last 8 years. Since his first year with Eastern Union, Shaya Acker- man has always been a top producer, closing loans of all property types, with a unique talent towards structuring larger, more complex deals. Shaya closed 59 transactions in 2012, including: $47,494,000 in financing for the acquisition of the West- bourne apartment complex, a five-building portfolio of multifamily properties on a full city block along West 137th Street between Broadway and Riverside Drive Avenue in Manhattan. Nate Hyman is the most active broker in the NJ office on a transactional basis, with an amazing 60 deals closed in 2012. He is also the youngest top producer in the firm. Nate knows where to maintain his focus. He doesn’t take on every deal, but any deal he takes on he gets it to the closing.
Ben Franklin TechVentures is an award-winning technol- ogy-based business incubator owned and managed by the Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Northeastern Pennsylvania on Lehigh University’s campus. The recent- ly-opened expansion, Ben Franklin TechVentures2, added 47,000 sf to the existing building, including wet labs, office/meeting space, and a parking deck. TechVentures2 will allow BFTP to accommodate start-up technology companies that create as many as 200 sustainable, highly paid jobs and retain 100 more jobs in the first three years. Twenty-five early-stage firms, employing 158 people, are currently located in BFTV. Since 1983, the incubator has graduated 55 successful companies, together grossing more than $620 million in annual revenue, and creating more than 5,400 jobs. The architect was Spillman Farmer Architects and the con- struction manager was Allied Building Corporation.
