Bible House of Los Angeles An Important Missionary Work

J N the Lissner Building in this city is a suite of three small, busy offices from which the Word of God and Gospel literature is sent to more than twenty-five foreign countries. The Bible House be lieves in a world-wide free distribution of Scriptures, prayerfully and judiciously done. The total circulation has exceeded six and one-half millions Testaments, Gospels and Portions. Its chief ministry is the publication and circulation of SCRIP TURES in Spanish, to the twenty-two Spanish-speaking lands of the world, such as South America, Central America, Mexico, Spain, etc., but of more recent years the Lord has added to their stewardship the responsibility of giving the same Life-giving Word to China, and of conducting an annual Bible School for one month, for the Chinese native workers. About ten colporteurs are employed in Spain, and twenty in the Province of Hunan, China. Those in Spain are distributing the Scriptures a-foot through out-of-the-way places in that priest-ridden land, not neglecting the many mountainous districts, where the people have not heard the Gospel or even seen a page of God’s Word. The colporteurs in Hunan travel in parties on house-boats, circulating Scripture Portions and putting up large Bible Text Posters. Each party is under an experienced leader, who holds an hour’s systematic Bible study each day with the men, thus training them for better service in the Lord’s vineyard. The Bible House of Los Angeles is not connected with any other organization, and never makes appeals for funds. God alone is asked. The financial policy has always been, A h to ttwiiH, full information— A h to funks, tto soliritation. An illustrated report entitled “An Open Door,” may be had upon application to the Secretary, 620 Lissner Building, to whom all in quiries and requests for Spanish and Chinese literature should be addressed. “ Stytttk of tlj? grarr tfyat to goo IjaH farm gitmn,
