different schools, I didn’t know David, so all I could do was check out his profile pic. He looked nice and we had some lovely chats. Eventually he asked me on a date to the cinema and nervously I agreed. At 16 and not exactly bursting with confidence it was a big thing for me to meet David at Cineworld in Enfield. My first impression was – phew, his pic is real! Despite him buying me tickets to the worst film ever - Aeon Flux – I really did like him. What was particularly cute was that David had his eight-year-old brother Ammi with him. Though Ammi was sent to watch a different film as ours was a 15 certificate, we all went for a McDonalds afterwards and had a giggle. Ammi was a lovely boy who is sadly no longer with us, but I will always remember him fondly from that day. He was definitely While we never officially became boyfriend and girlfriend, David and I began dating steadily. He lived in Walthamstow while I was in Enfield, a bus ride away, so we saw each other every weekend until we finished GCSE’s and in the Summer holidays. After leaving school we went to different colleges, David in central London and me in Barnet, so we’d catch the tube after lessons and meet for walks and picnics in the park. Eventually, David met my mum and dad, Mary and Dennis, and my older sisters part of our journey. Meant to be
