football fans. Recently they just returned from Germany, Austria and Switzerland. They have three grown children and three grandchildren along with a spoiled Maltese. Adam Sinclair • Tell us about yourself:

I was born and raised in Colorado. I received a full-ride football scholarship to New Mexico State University where I graduated with a B.S. in Kinesiology and a B.S. in Business Management. My wife and I spend most of our free time with our two wonderful daughters, Arabella (2 years old) and Adalaya (5 months). We love spending

family days at the Denver Zoo and enjoy going for scenic drives through the country. I enjoy playing the piano and electric guitar in my free time. I collect anything related to Sinclair Gas Stations. I have dozens of signs, a full size gas pump from the 1940s, and hundreds of other small collectables in my Sinclair man-cave. I’m of no relation to the Sinclair Oil Company, but I’ve had an affinity for their gas stations since I was a small boy and it was a matter of coincidence that I ended up in the industry. Currently, I work at Encana Services Company as a Division Order Lead. I’ve been a member of DADOA since 2008; since then I have served on the DADOA Board in many positions including President, Director, and Board Advisor. I have also served on the Newsletter and Social Media Committees. In 2014, I was awarded the DADOA President’s Council Award. • What was your first job in the industry? My first job out of college was with a temp agency that sent me to Encana to stuff thousands of revenue checks into envelopes when their mailing machine malfunctioned. A few days later I was called back to Encana to work in the records department as a contractor and was eventually hired on as a fulltime employee. It didn’t take long for me to fall in love with this industry and realize how important this industry is to our everyday lives. While working at Encana I found my niche working in division orders and being an active Board Member of DADOA. I’m very thankful for the malfunctioning mailing machine, as it resulted in a lucrative career in a wonderful industry. • What things have you seen change over the years? I’ve been in the industry 12 years, and so far, I am the most impressed by how our industry was able to strongly adapt to the downturn in 2015. I realize many great people lost their jobs, but I’m glad to see that our industry has bounced back and is thriving in this price environment. • What excites you the most about DADOA? NADOA? I thoroughly enjoy the learning opportunities that both DADOA and NADOA offer members. I have been to three NADOA Institutes (Savannah, GA, Philadelphia, PA & Amelia Island, FL) and they were filled with top notch speakers. I strongly suggest that everyone try to go to at least one NADOA Institute as there is so much to be learned in our ever changing industry and it is fun to meet other D.O. Analysts from all

Linda is the Manager of Land Administration for Laramie Energy LLC and currently is the Website Manager for DADOA, which she has done since 2002. She started in the oil and gas industry as a Production Secretary for Houston Natural Gas Production Company in Houston, Texas. She has served for many years on the DADOA Board: as President twice, Secretary twice, Board Adviser twice, Director and Vice President. She was

instrumental in the implementation of the DADOA Website and has managed the Job Bank since 1992. She is honored to have received the DADOA President’s Council Award and also the DADOA President’s Council Lifetime Achievement Award. She has also served on the Educational Committee for NADOA. She has loved serving the Associations in these capacities. DADOA and NADOA have excellent educational programs to not only help the entry level analyst, but broaden the knowledge of the experienced analyst. She enjoys the network that both organizations foster. These organizations could not be a better place for someone new to the oil and gas industry to start, ask lots of questions and build a base of contacts. Over her years in oil and gas lots of things have changed. Remember when there where Dry Hole Contributions, typewriters, carbon paper and onion skin paper? And no copier! Certainly there were not arguments over fracking or set-backs. Those were the days. In Linda’s leisure time she enjoys many different hobbies such as crafts like ceramics, knitting and scrapbooking. She and her husband enjoy traveling as often as they can, hiking in the mountains and are avid CU
