2018 Q2

Jennifer began her career as a Division Order Analyst at Concho Resources, LLC on October 31, 2011. She has progressed very quickly at Concho and is now a Senior Division Order Analyst for the New Mexico team. One of her favorite things about her career as a division order analyst is that each day brings new challenges. She is grateful that her efforts can help make a difference for her owners. Jennifer served on the PBADOA board as the Membership Director in 2014 and currently holds the office of Secretary. She was on the 2015 & 2016 NADOA Institute committees and served as the NADOA website chair both years. In 2017, Jennifer represented PBADOA as the Liaison on the NADOA board and as a member of the Institute committee. She enjoys serving on the national level and feels that it is an opportunity to serve an organization whose purpose is to educate its members. As she continues her service she currently holds the position of the 2018 NADOA Secretary and is once again a member of the Institute committee. Her strong work ethic and high energy makes Jennifer a valued member to both PBADOA and NADOA. In addition to working full time Jennifer is a college student, volunteers for Meals-on-Wheels and her church. In her spare time she loves to travel. Barcelona Spain is one of her favorite destinations due to the friendly people and great food. She loves her family and won’t hesitate to admit that she is a Mamma’s girl! PBADOA is very proud of Jennifer Lujano and her accomplishments. program was very informative and enjoyed by all. April did not bring the promised showers but we were very happy to welcome Mr. William S. King for our April 19 luncheon. Mr. King is a Senior Manager with KPMG LLP. His presentation “Under the Gun: Changes in Unclaimed Property Rules and Enforcement” was very timely. Our annual seminar was held on May 3rd at the Midland Country Club. A big thank you to everyone who helped organize the big event. We are genuinely grateful for all of the speakers who share their knowledge and time. PBADOA is very proud to recognize two of our outstanding members. We hope that you will enjoy these brief introductions and join us in celebrating their achievements.

Shirley Smith: There are not too many people who would drive 180 miles round trip for lunch! Shirley Smith makes that trip to attend the monthly PBADOA luncheons and annual spring seminar.

Shirley is the division order department for CML Exploration, LLC in Snyder, Texas and has worked in the oil and gas industry for 14 years. Shirley joined PBADOA in 2007 and served on the PBADOA board in 2009 as our Publisher, and she received her CDOA in January 2010. Some of you may recognize her as a NADOA greeter or a friendly face sitting behind the registration desk. She enjoys volunteering and believes that the NADOA Institute is a great way to network and provides endless educational opportunities. Shirley is known for her big smile and friendly attitude, and for many of our PBADOA members she was one of the first people they met at our luncheons. Shirley and her husband, Gary, both grew up in Snyder, TX, enjoy traveling and have been married for 10 years. Every year they travel to NADOA Institute, which has provided Gary the opportunity to play golf on some of the most spectacular courses in the country! They have 4 sons between the two of them and 7 grandchildren for now. Their eighth grandbaby, Baby “Eli” is due to arrive in June. Her favorite hobby is shopping, but they enjoy fishing from their kayaks and watching the Texas Rangers. They also have a yellow tabby cat that is over 13 years old. PBADOA would like to thank Shirley for her dedication and willingness to help and serve.

SADOA’s April meeting featured Joe G.Anderson, Land Administration Manager with Cimarex Energy Co., speaking on the Oklahoma Production Revenue Standards Act. This topic generated a number of questions and some lively discussion.

Jennifer Lujano Some say that “The Best Gifts Come in Small Packages”. That is certainly the case with Jennifer Lujano!

Next up is SADOA’s Summer Seminar, scheduled for June 6.
