D ungannon-based firm, Alskea Ltd scooped the prestigious House Builder Award at the 2021 FMB Master Builder Awards. Comprised of 15 traditionally constructed houses built in red brick with render panels in Finaghy Park Gardens in South Belfast, this infill development site by Alskea is already a NHBC Quality on the Job winner and was described by the FMB Master Builder judges as “a first- class project”. This impressive build saw Alskea’s team adapt to numerous obstacles, including taking on the tricky process of implementing the site’s new water sanitation system, grappling with delays brought on by the pandemic and minimising the carbon footprint of the project. The result is a beautiful selection of three and four-bed semi-detached and detached homes with driveways and both front and rear gardens. The streetscape aesthetic is pleasing and each of the homes has been built to a minimal carbon footprint, representing a comprehensive, environmentally conscientious development any builder would be proud of.
