G P McManus was named the winner of the Commercial or Public Sector Project Award at the 2021 FMB Master Builder Awards for their work on a challenging brief that saw the Co.Down-based company tasked with creating a bespoke state-of- the-art studio spanning three floors. The end result is a modern, multifunctional venue that is now fit for public use and summed up by the judges as a “highly appealing and challenging conversion of an existing building, combining high quality craftsmanship with modern construction techniques.” Gerard Patrick McManus said, “As owner and Director of GP McManus Building I was absolutely delighted to receive the award for Commercial or Public sector Project. On starting this project, our local FMB officer Simone McAllister encouraged me to enter the
awards as the project was quite challenging in many areas, but even at the early stages everyone knew what a stunning building it would turn out on completion and I have to say it really did turn out well. “To all the builders in Northern
Ireland and the mainland I’d like to wish everyone the best of luck not only in the National awards but moving forward in the future of our construction sector and thank you again to FMB, to Brian Berry and all of his team for the hard work they do throughout the year.”
