Harmony ™ Ergonomic Scalers and Curettes Every Patient. Every Procedure. Every Day. Using an enhanced finishing process, HuFriedyGroup’s professional artisans are creating edges that are over 60 % sharper than the next closest competitor. 4 Less force means easier, more comfortable scaling for the clinician, which enables them to deliver the best clinical outcome every time. The advanced sensor based TrueFit™ Technology has measured 2,878,320 data points for pinch force in the finger and pressure applied to the tooth when scaling. 4
Secure and nimble grasp The silicone grip has been extended by 30 % which can provide a secure and nimble grasp while using the instrument. 3 The geometric pattern is specifically designed to maximize grip in all directions.

Gracey Curettes
Originally designed to be finishing curettes for fine scaling and root planing, Gracey Curettes were developed in the 1940’s by Dr. Clayton Gracey in coordination with Hugo Friedman, the founder of Hu-Friedy. Each Gracey blade is offset at 70˚and has one cutting edge—the lower edge. The combination of this unique blade and 9 different shank designs for specific tooth surfaces provide improved adaptation and deposit removal in scaling procedures.

Piezo Scaling Tips Why Piezo? The smooth linear movement generated by piezoelectric systems creates a stroke pattern that is similar to hand instrumentation. Adapting the lateral surface of the piezo tip against the tooth surface (similar to a hand instrument) will increase clinical efficiency.

Targeted Healing Approach
BOOST
Leveraging the physiological healing capacity.
BOOST refers to a specific improvement of the effects of non-surgical periodontal treatment by leveraging the body’s healing capacity.
Healing Benefits
Complete Pocket Sealing Forms a conforming, secure shield to isolate the site during the early healing phase.
Clot Stability Stabilizes the blood clot and enables optimal tissue healing.
Antimicrobial Shield Prevents bacterial recontamination through physical occlusion.
34
Sterify Gel Expanding the Boundaries of Care and Protection
Meet the reduced bacterial contamination solution to support the healing process in the treatment of periodontal disease. Sterify Gel is a medical device that offers a new approach to periodontal care. Mucoadhesive polymeric hydrogel in a pre-filled syringe for the treatment of periodontal disease 2 .
Polyvinyl polymers (10%) Physical occluding action
Nisin Preservative
Hydroxytyrosol Visco-modulator
Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate Gamma-protector
Support to tissue healing with significant and proven constant improvement of pocket depth
Reduction of bacterial contamination thanks to its occluding action
Stable at room temperature with no need to manage the cold chain
No antibiotics, no antiseptics and no chlorhexidine but simultaneously acts as broad-spectrum antibacterial barrier, without generating resistance
Easy to use
No animal-derived components

Targeted Healing Approach
Sterify Gel Non-surgical periodontal treatments have always been centred for HuFriedyGroup. Throughout our history, we have dedicated ourselves to providing practitioners with the highest quality instruments, supporting excellence in every procedure, from detection and prevention to a complete hygiene session. Furthermore, Hufriedygroup has always lead innovations on this field, establishing different milestones that became standards worldwide.
Periodontitis is a chronic multifactorial disease that can lead to the destruction of the structures supporting the teeth.
Affects about

the destruction of the supporting apparatus of the tooth 1
of the adult population 1
When treating periodontal disease, Scaling & Root Planing (SRP) might currently require the addition of local antibiotic or local antibacterial agents 1
We are proud to continue this legacy of excellence with the introduction of Sterify Gel: the innovative mucoadhesive hydrogel for the treatment of periodontal disease. This new addition to our comprehensive portfolio expands your treatment options, completes our non surgical periodontal solution and represents a significant advancement in patient care.

Needle selection is a critical factor.
A 23-gauge bendable needle (0.6 mm × 25 mm), commonly used in endodontics and featuring a lateral extrusion hole and an atraumatic tip, is recommended for the controlled application of gel in periodontal areas undergoing treatment. The 23-gauge diameter supports consistent extrusion while maintaining the gel’s mechanical and viscoelastic properties.

Our cassette-based Instrument Management System (IMS) allows you to move instruments from cleaning to chairside efficiently and safely through reduced handling of contaminated instruments. By removing multiple time consuming and potentially dangerous steps in the process, IMS™ Cassettes can save your facility five to ten minutes per procedure, reduce the chance of sharps injuries, and protect your bottom line through instrument integrity and increased productivity - all while promoting compliance to infection prevention standards of care. IMS Instrument Management System Optimal infection control and prevention are facilitated by the use of tools that allow for improved efficiency and safety. Instrument integrity is further enhanced by the use of HuFriedyGroup Instrument Management System (IMS). The IMS Solution allows clinicians to move instruments from cleaning through chairside without touching or damaging the instruments. Infection Prevention & Instrument Management
IMS INSTRUMENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
38
Organisation • Organises instruments, accessories and disposables by procedure • Color-coded cassettes and instruments by procedure or type of user • Simply locate and identify clearly marked cassettes • Professional chairside image through presentation of sterile packages • Less counter space required vs. trays Safety • Minimised handling of contaminated sharps reducing risk of injury and exposure to blood borne pathogens • Hand scrubbing virtually eliminated, reducing risk of injury and exposure to blood borne pathogens • Safer transportation of soiled instruments reducing risk of injury and exposure to blood borne pathogens Instrument Integrity • Potential damage (bending, breaking, etc.) is reduced by storing instruments in cassettes • Cassette system reduces potential for lost or misplaced instruments • Instruments held securely in proper cleaning positions (i.e., hinged instruments in open position) for optimal cleaning Efficiency • Enhanced chairside efficiency and easy training with standardised procedural set-ups • Reduced set-up time with organised storage of instruments within procedural labeled cassettes • Cassettes can be placed into automated washer, ultrasonic bath and autoclave for facilitated cleaning and sterilisation • Reduced need for manual sorting of instruments into pouches • Cleaning time reduced, allowing for a more productive team
