McAvoy to deliver specialist school
Lisburn-based offsite manufacturer McAvoy has been appointed to deliver an interim social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) school in Devon after a fire destroyed its original building. McAvoy will provide a full turnkey solution, including groundworks, design and construction, with the new 25,241sqft facility due to complete by the end of the year. The new building will include a range of specialist SEMH spaces using McAvoy’s SmartClass® education solution, including a hygiene room with shower, toilet and changing facilities, medical, soft play, sensory and nurture rooms, and an independent living room where pupils can develop life skills such as cooking and cleaning. www.mcavoygroup.com
