Managing Director Jason Fisher is Ireland’s sole HV and LV Electrical AE registered with the Institute of Healthcare Engineering and Estate Management (IHEEM), and one of only nine in the UK. From 2029, only IHEEM-registered AEs can fulfil the AE role for every NHS hospital across the UK. “We fill a crucial role that no one else in Ireland offers,” he says. “We provide AE services to the healthcare, pharmaceutical, commercial, manufacturing and industrial sectors, supporting organisations to ensure safe systems of work are correctly applied with independent audits, advice, assistance and support. “As chair of the AE (Electrical) board of registration with IHEEM, one of my main goals is to get more AEs registered with IHEEM. We need to develop the next generation and foster an interest in the AE career path for younger engineers, females and enhance the diversity.”

“I’ve done a lot of research,” says Jason, “and while I’m reticent to let my younger engineers rely on it, I do let them play about with it.
