Jason Fisher’s journey to managing director of Beattie Flanigan is an inspirational one. He joined 35 years ago as the office junior engineer, rising to lead one of NI’s most successful independent building services engineering practices. His own career makes him acutely aware of the critical impact that mentoring and education have on staff development, and it is a commitment he carries beyond the practice as a CIBSE mentor, apprentice End Point Assessor and IET and IHEEM Professional Review interviewer. That support for the next wave of engineering professionals has rewarded Beattie Flanigan with a tight team of enthusiastic, expertly qualified engineers and support staff who are committed to delivering great results. Jason R Fisher TD CEng MSc FIET FIHEEM FCIBSE FIoL TechIOSH Jason joined Beattie Flanigan in 1991 as an electrical engineer, following an apprenticeship at Waring and Partners, and was promoted to electrical partner in 2003 after completing an MSc in Engineering

Management. Managing director and lead engineer since 2015, he is responsible for the overall design and co-ordination of all building services engineering projects delivered by the practice and brings extensive senior-level experience from both his 40-year engineering career and 37 years of military service. Catherine McCartan CEng BEng (Hons) MCIBSE FIHEEM Catherine joined Beattie Flanigan in 2017 as a senior mechanical engineer and was quickly promoted to associate mechanical engineer. She leads the mechanical design on projects across the healthcare, education and residential sectors. One of NI’s most respected female mechanical and healthcare engineers, she is a passionate advocate for women in engineering. A mentor of apprentices and and graduates, she regularly visits schools to speak to STEM students about building services engineering as a career. Stephen Boyce MICWCI MACQP Stephen joined Beattie Flanigan in 2023 as a mechanical inspector/

clerk of works, bringing over 45 years of experience in mechanical services engineering. He began his career with a four-year plumbing apprenticeship and ran his own plumbing, pipefitting and welding business for 16 years, before moving into contract management around 20 years ago. As clerk of works, he maintains the highest of standards and ensures compliance with statutory, regulatory and design requirements. Pauline Rodney Pauline joined Beattie Flanigan in March 1997 as an office administrator, handling telephone enquiries, general administration and the preparation of tender documents. She was promoted to office manager in 2015. Pauline holds a critical role in the success of the practice, providing the organisation, continuity and attention to detail supporting its engineers to deliver for clients. Pauline is responsible for all administration activities including HR, payroll and the company’s ISO Integrated Management System.
