FRIENDS AND COLLEAGUES FROM ACROSS THE MERCHANT AND CONSTRUCTION SECTORS ENJOYED SOME RELAXED NETWORKING AT MALONE GOLF CLUB ON AUGUST 20… Saint Gobain Golf Day continues a 30-year tradition

and dinner, which added to the social atmosphere of the day. There was of course plenty of friendly competition on the course with Brian McAuley taking the overall winner’s title. A long-time supporter of the event, Brian was described as a very worthy winner. With the weather playing its part and excellent feedback from guests, the 2026 Golf Day proved another memorable occasion. Saint Gobain extends its thanks to the team at Malone Golf Club along with Dermot McDaid, Jonathan Toal, Niall Taggart and Mark McCormick, whose work behind the scenes helped ensure the event ran smoothly. After more than three decades of successful golf days, the tradition looks set to continue with Saint Gobain planning to return with the next event in 2027.

colleagues to Malone Golf Club on August 20 for its annual Golf Day, an event that has been a firm fixture in the Northern Ireland construction calendar for more than 30 years. Once again, the day attracted a strong turnout with many familiar faces returning year after year. Saint Gobain credits continued customer support as the key to the event’s longevity, providing an opportunity to step away from the pressures of everyday business and enjoy relaxed networking with friends and colleagues from across the merchant and construction sectors. Malone Golf Club provided an impressive setting for this year’s event with the shotgun start proving particularly successful. The format allowed everyone to take to the course at the same time, reducing waiting around and bringing guests together for lunch
