McCorley Mechanical & Electrical was the winner of the Medium Contractor of the Year Award at the 2021 Northern Ireland Plumbing & Heating Awards, in what was a very highly contested category. Based in Toomebridge, Co. Antrim. McCorley Mechanical & Electrical is well known for their mechanical works, but since adding an electrical division in 2016 under the guidance of new Electrical Contracts Manager, Stephen O’Loughlin, both the size of the company and the scope of the projects it takes on have continued to grow from strength to strength. Dowds Group has been named Northern Ireland’s Large Contractor of the Year 2021. In what remain turbulent times, the company has consistently emerged as a good news story, achieving a record turnover of £60m in 2020 and completing some of their most high-profile mechanical projects to date. Our judges highlighted the remarkable contribution Dowds Group has made to the local challenges presented by Covid, with their team working tirelessly throughout the height of the pandemic to deliver major projects like the £11.5M Altnagelvin Northern Extension project and Northern Ireland’s second Nightingale ward at Whiteabbey Hospital. In a category that is always close to call, Dowds Group was also commended for their focus on
