■ Career achievements: As a Brigade Executive Officer, was deployed to Eastern Europe with the remit to establish the Ukraine International Donation Co-ordination Centre; facilitating shipments of military aid. As a primary advisor, enabled cooperation between 20 nations, distributed £1.5 billion of military aid to the frontline, and liaised with UK stakeholders. Led on contingency planning and deployment of several hundred British military and civilian personnel whilst on operations in Afghanistan. This spanned numerous military and government departments and included the deployment of 700 UK personnel to Kabul to facilitate the evacuation of British and Afghan civilians in August 2021. Oversaw the deployment of 800 medical and logistic personnel to support Nightingale hospitals, NHS Trusts and local government; this involved 30 separate projects spanning 10 months, to support the fight against Covid-19. The largest task involved training and deploying 80 personnel to crew ambulances for the Welsh Service NHS Trust.
