ATHLETICS

All-Star Soccer Skills • AGES 6-10 This program includes speed and agility drills to improve each player’s soccer game by allowing for a more powerful shot, increased range on the field and efficient change of direction. Basic skills of dribbling, shooting passing and spacing are covered and expanded upon. Players learn the importance of movement away from the ball and the importance of each position through game situations. Taught by All Star Sports Instruction, Inc. Kids stay active and work on balance, motor skills and hand-eye coordination while learning the rules of baseball, football, floor hockey, soccer, basketball and more! Each class focuses on a new sport, basic rules and mechanics while games are played that keep everyone moving. There’s no reason to pick a sport when they can play them all! This approach to baseball is one that engages players regardless of skill level. They learn basic building blocks in a fun, safe environment. Program keeps players moving and learning even while in the dugout! Mechanics and hand-eye coordination are the keys to early success. Players gain confidence as they learn the proper mechanics of catching, throwing, fielding, base running and batting. This program focuses on the discipline and training in foil. A foil is a thrusting weapon with a thin, flexible blade and a small, round bell guard. Equipment is provided for beginning and intermediate participants; participants enrolled in Club Fencing should purchase their own electric equipment. Participants must have completed beginning fencing and have instructor approval before signing up for intermediate fencing and instructor approval to sign up for Club Fencing.
