timony, while at the same time ren dering a service to the community. For this reason, in addition to out standing Christian programs, we be lieve that in order to reach the un saved there must be ‘feeder’ programs which will lead listeners into our strong Gospel broadcasting block.” Dave Hofer is married with two daughters, age 21 and 16, while Egon has three boys, 20, 16, and 11. Dave is the International Director of the six Western states for Gideons, Inter national. Egon plans to visit the mis sion fields of South America shortly, with the main object of making a sur vey of missionary radio in the lands to the south. Active in church work, the Hofer brothers attend the Zion Mennonite Church in Dinuba. In connection with his long public service, Egon Hofer, who handles business affairs, recalled the experi ence of the local telephone company manager who needed an unusual type of blood during an operation. Down in a remote area of the valley, a little woman responded by giving what she had and thereby saved a life. Simi- larly, the messages in word and song which come from KRDU bring news of the life-giving blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, which He shed on Cal vary for our salvation.

Dave Hofer throws switch for 1,000 watt transmitter. Christian programs, area news, and public service highlight schedule of KRDU.
