Codeshare with China Southern Airlines
The partnership aims to support the joint promotion of Air Serbia's flights between Serbia and China, including routes to Shanghai and Guangzhou, while contributing to the growth of inbound tourism, increased visitor numbers, and stronger economic and cultural exchange between the two countries. Through cooperation with a globally recognized travel platform operating across dozens of countries and multiple languages, Air Serbia continues to enhance the international visibility and accessibility of Serbia as a travel destination. By leveraging existing routes rather than adding new capacity, the cooperation expands the company's commercial reach while supporting two-way tourism. By expanding strategic partnerships and improving connectivity with high-growth international markets, Air Serbia contributes to the development of tourism, business mobility, and broader economic activity, while supporting the long-term positioning of Serbia as an increasingly connected regional hub.
The route is reinforced by a codeshare agreement with China Southern Airlines, signed in Guangzhou. Under the agreement, Air Serbia placed its "JU" code on China Southern's flights between Belgrade and Guangzhou, and Belgrade and Shanghai, offering onward access to 20 destinations in the Chinese carrier's network, while China Southern placed its code on Air Serbia's services between Belgrade and both Guangzhou and Shanghai, enabling passengers from southern China to reach 21 European destinations via Belgrade. The partnership extends the reach of both networks without introducing additional flights and builds on a Memorandum of Understanding signed in September 2024, covering cooperation in cargo, ground handling, maintenance, catering and lounge services. Tourism cooperation with Trip.com In 2025, Air Serbia strengthened its international commercial cooperation through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with Trip.com, one of the world's largest online travel platforms. The agreement was signed in Shanghai, two days after the launch of Air Serbia's direct service between Belgrade and Shanghai, further reinforcing the company's role in connecting Serbia with key global markets.
