Race 9 Threeood
After arriving on course the mare, which had sustained an abrasion to its nearside hip in the preceding week, underwent a veterinary examination by the Club’s Veterinary Officer and was deemed suitable to race. As the start was effected sat down behind, resulting in a barrier attendant having to assist the mare. Consequently, the mare was slow to begin (5L). Trainer advised he was satisfied with the post-race condition of the mare. Royal Randwick 10/07/2021 Raced keenly from passing the 1000 metres. App rdr reported the wide draw was detrimental to the gelding’s chances. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormality. Flemington 05/03/2022 Overraced in the early and middle stages. Caulfield 25/06/2022 Laid in under pressure in straight. Weakened from the 300m. Disappointing. Rdr could offer no explanation for performance.
