ALL THE REMBRANDTS: RIJKSMUSEUM, AMSTERDAM 15 February – 10 June 2019
This year Rijksmuseum marks the 350th anniversary of Rembrandt’s death with a ‘Year of Rembrandt’. All the Rembrandts is a unique opportunity to see for the first time an exhibition of all 22 paintings, 60 drawings and more than 300 best examples of Rembrandt’s prints in the museum’s collection. It’s a chance not to be missed and a pretext - if you need one – to visit the beautiful Dutch city.
The exhibition was co-curated by the controversial, and oftentimes provocative, artist himself. The selection of artworks spans Koons’ entire career and includes some of his most famous series, such as Equilibrium, Statuary, Banality and Antiquity, as well as his recent Gazing Ball sculptures and paintings. Out of the 17 featured headline pieces, 14 have never before been displayed in the UK. JEFF KOONS | ASHMOLEAN MUSEUM, OXFORD 7 February – 9 June 2019

VAN GOGH AND BRITAIN: TATE BRITAIN, LONDON 27 March – 11 August 2019
The exhibition explores the influence of British art, literature and culture on Vincent van Gogh’s work, and how he in turn inspired British artists. Tate Britain has gathered over 45 works from public and private collections around the world, which is the biggest selection of van Gogh’s paintings to be exhibited in the UK in the last decade. Visitors will get the chance to see some of the painter’s most celebrated masterpieces like Self-Portrait (1889), Starry Night on the Rhône (1888) and Sunflowers (1888).
