I hung up the phone, shocked and sad. Looking back, I real- ize it was another one of those defining moments in my life. It sure didn’t feel too defining at the time. It just stunk. The thoughts immediately popped in my head. Was it thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours wasted? Was I to believe that this was a total failure? Should I have ever tried such an unfamiliar task? I had
always worked hard, and after losing all my money to a scam in my very early twenties, now I had used all my saved money once again, plus money borrowed on credit cards and from friends. But my experiences were adding up by this time in my life. I reflected back on my past failures and accomplishments. I

I used everything I am sharing with you in this book and snapped myself out of any negativity and was immediately rejuvenated with the focus I could do this on my own. The next day I decided that no one was going to steal my dreams unless I gave them permission. I said out loud: “This is who I am as a person! I preach success to other people! I’m not going to let this stop me. I am going to make my idea work, and if it doesn’t, then I know I gave it everything I had.” The so-called expert opted out of his contract, convinced the project was a loser. So I went at it alone, employing trial and error as my tutors. It was definitely not easy, but it worked out. I was able to help people all over the country make money like I did, while at the same time the company did tens of millions of dollars in sales. Even in the heat of adversity, I realized that what appeared to be the end was really the beginning. My experience has taught me that all adversity is a new door of opportunity. This way of think- ing was starting to really come to life because it was working. It went from theory to reality.
