IRIS TENNESSEE PROJECT...

After 8 YEARS, THE IRIS TENNESSEE MUSEUM OF LITTER ART PROJECT IS COMING BACK!

And, did you know there is a virtual Museum of Litter? This museum is dedicated to the elimination and prevention of litter. They ARTiculate the problem of litter with humor, art and kindness. Here you can see art made from litter, even, (especially) cigarette butts -- the number one littered item on the planet. See WE HAVE A PROBLEM! There are many problems on the planet -- but litter doesn‛t have to be one of them. It‛s easily solvable. First we need to all get on the same page: we need to acknowledge it‛s a problem. What does theMuseum of Litter do? The Museum of Litter applauds the many individuals, organizations and communities involved in environmental litter-pickups, yet believe the key is education stressing the importance of preventing litter in the but more important, they aim to create conversations about it. They discuss what litter is. Some people think certain things, like a cigarette butt, isn‛t litter. They aim to educate by engaging and entertaining, using social media. KIDS.... Let’s create our own Museumof Litter ! Together let‛s create conscious awareness about place. One of the ways we can do this is by making art and kindness so the litterer remains open to hear the message. By creating original pieces of art with a Authenticity that states when and where the art was picked up,by whom and who made the art. WHERE CANYOU FIND LITTER? You can virtually pick up litter anywhere!. As all litter eventually makes its way into our waterways, it‛s imperative to pick up litter before it reaches the rivers and oceans.

next school year! This is year-long school project Sept 2019 - May 2020

to help bring awareness of the consequences litter has on our community, environment and financial resources.

What is the #1 Litter item on the Planet? The project is called Washed Ashore and its goal is to raise awareness about the effects of littering on ocean animals. “The first thing you need to do is get people’s attention,” Pozzi told TFK. “Giant animals tend to do this very well.”

“Look for litter to create a work of art! Take a look at what a grade school girl made with found litter from her local beach.”
