A new school year brings excitement for a new chapter’s hope, learning, expectations, and growth. Before the backdrop of cooler days, a colorful change of season and fall sports, new teachers, new friends, and new lessons await. Again this year, the County Mayor’s Office is happy to be a part of “Let’s Talk Trash,” which engages students across Cheatham County. Its stories inspire students to take responsibility for keeping Cheatham County clean for future generations. Students must take the lead to keep our county clean and to educate all our citizens about the short- and long-term benefits of recycling and disposing of trash in its proper place. Please allow me to extend a big thanks to the teachers and administrators of Cheatham County Schools, who daily provide incredible opportunities for our students. I wish you the best as you motivate each student to achieve beyond his or her expectations. Please feel free to contact my office or stop by in person if I can help to make this a better year. I love to talk to classes about the county mayor’s job and responsibilities. If your class has the opportunity to visit the historic Cheatham County Courthouse, please let me know so I can make sure your class has a complete tour and information to get the most from your visit.
