Because the mockingbird comes to represent the idea of innocence, to kill a mockingbird is to destroy innocence.” Mockingbirds only do one thing --- They innocently make music for us to enjoy by singing their hearts out. That is why it is a sin to kill a mockingbird! THE MOCKINGBIRD ?
The northern mockingbird is the only mockingbird commonly found in North America. This bird is mainly a permanent resident, but northern birds may move south during harsh weather.
