Webster University Sargent Conservatory of Theatre Arts

Missouri, University of Texas-Austin, The Rep’s Imaginary Theatre Company, COCA, Mustardseed Theatre, as well as his undergrad alma mater, Fontbonne University, as both a student and professor. He holds a MFA in Directing from Baylor University. He attended LAByrinth Theatre Company’s intensive ensemble training in 2010 with Stephen Adley Guirgis and Phillip Seymour Hoffman, the writer and original director of The Last Days of Judas Iscariot . Ellen Isom ( she/her ) › Choreographer, Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812 Ellen Isom is a St. Louis artist and educator. An active member of the St. Louis Arts community for over 30 years, she has danced and choreographed professionally throughout the St. Louis area as well as working with universities and children’s theatre groups. Ellen teaches ballet and jazz as an adjunct professor in Webster’s Dance Department. Favorite Conservatory projects include Violet, Ruthless! -the Musical, Carousel, Cabaret, Spring Awakening, [title of show] and Love’s Labour’s Lost-the Musical . In addition to her adjunct teaching position at Webster University, Ellen heads the dance program at Visitation Academy. She teaches at On Your Toes Dance Studio and conducts workshops in musical theatre dance for the MUNY. Working with young artists is a passion, and Ellen is thrilled to collaborate on The Great Comet with Michael Baxter, Tali Allen, and the students of the Sargent Conservatory.

Rachel works in the community as an actor, director, and teaching artist. She also works as an intimacy director and consultant, in partnership with Will Bonfiglio. Rachel is one of the 2023 Saint Louis Visionary Award honorees.

Jennifer Wintzer ( she/her ) › Director, The Spitfire Grill

Jennifer Wintzer is a creative producer, director and educator. Her research and practice focuses on the intersection of the arts and social enterprise, leveraging the power of storytelling for social change. Jennifer’s varied career as a theatre artist includes educational and artistic leadership roles in non-profit theatres from New York to St. Louis. She is on the program staff at Washington University’s Olin Business School and has held performing arts lecturer and guest artist appointments at Saint Louis University, Webster University and Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. Her professional teaching artist and directing credits include new play development, musicals and TYA work with MCC Theater, Second Stage Theatre, Lincoln Center Theater, The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, The New Jewish Theatre, St. Louis Shakespeare Festival, and Center of Creative Arts. Jennifer is a graduate of University of Pennsylvania’s Executive Program in Arts and Cultural Strategy. She earned an MFA from the Academy for Classical Acting at Shakespeare Theatre Company and George Washington University, and a BFA in Musical Theatre from the Conservatory of Theatre Arts at Webster University. She is a proud member of AEA and credits her early work as an actor with the Chekhov Theatre Ensemble in New York City as the foundation for her teaching practice. Her favorite show is most often the one she is currently working on—but if she had to choose, she loved working on War Horse and bringing over 4,000 students to see it at LCT!

Rachel Tibbetts ( she/her ) › Intimacy Consultant

Rachel Tibbetts is Artistic Director for Prison Performing Arts and co-producer of the Slightly Askew Theatre Ensemble (SATE). She received her BA in Theatre from Oklahoma State University and is a graduate of the Community Arts Training Institute sponsored by the St. Louis Regional Arts Commission.
