Nilpeter Unveils New FA-26 Press
EskoWorld 2020 Cancelled
Esko announced the cancellation of its EskoWorld 2020 event. The annual technology-focused event for packaging professionals had been scheduled to take place fromApril 28-30 in Dallas,Texas. “More than 500 delegates and 70 expert speakers from countries around the world were due to attend this year’s EskoWorld,” Melissa Plemen, Esko Director of Marketing North America. “With efforts to contain the spread of coronavirus, including travel restrictions affecting much of Europe and other countries,not only was the safety of delegates a concern but we would also face the prospect of being unable to deliver the packed agenda of 140 workshops and new product demonstrations to our usual high standard.”
Nilpeter has announced the launch of the new FA-26 press, which the company said will assist converters in the flexible packaging market. The latest and wid- est flexo press the company has ever developed, the 670mm wide FA-26 presents a shift in product strate- gy. Nilpeter is entering new markets, with all the well- known Nilpeter features, in an attempt to provide new standards for flexibility, sustainability, fast job change- overs and automation. Nilpeter said it has seen increased market interest for quite some time now, both from its existing label print customers and from flexible packaging printers, geared toward inline printing of pouches, flow packs, form-fill-seal, as well as converting of shrink sleeves, in shorter runs and smaller batches. The new press gives printers the ability to print and create a fully functional laminate inline by utilizing solvent dry lamination or E-Beam.The E-Beam enables PET/PET instant cured lamination — a recyclable con- struction for flexible packaging — made possible, ac- cording to the company, by the high level of accuracy in manufacturing, and the accurate and automatic save and recall of process parameters.
