Ça, c’est disparu et il faut les ramener.» Deux autres personnes lorgnent actuelle- ment la candidature du Parti libéral en vue des prochaines élections fédérales. Plu- sieurs personnes ne savent pas qu’il y a une élection avant l’élection», a déclaré Jacques Taillefer. C’est pourquoi il invite tous les gens à devenir membre du Parti libéral a"n d’exercer ce droit. «Je veux ouvrir la porte à tout le monde. Je ne veux pas que le choix d’un candidat soit fait seulement par quelques centaines de personnes.» Résident de Rockland, Jacques Taillefer a souvent été appelé à démontrer son lea- dership dans divers rôles durant les der- nières 20 années. «Ce qui me distingue des autres, c’est que je ne dis pas simplement que j’appuie la création d’emplois. Plutôt, j’ai des plans pré- cis pour ce que je propose», a-t-il indiqué. Parmi ses priorités, on retrouve le déve- loppement des infrastructures de trans- ports, notamment en ce qui a trait au projet de train léger d’Ottawa. «Pour moi, c’est une occasion de tisser des liens entre Glengarry- Prescott-Russell et Ottawa dans l’objectif de faire partie de ce plan d’expansion. A later than usual crop and wet weather at crucial harvest times have slowed down farmers’ attempts to get their crops o# before winter.
