The company continued to evolve until eventually the upholstery manufacturing side of the business ceased completely and the supply of furnishing fabrics became the company’s primary focus. In the 1980s Romo started its own in-house design studio, injecting a more creative approach to design which redened Romo as the design-led company it is known as today.

The group is nowmanaged by the founder’s great grandson, Jonathan Mould, along with his niece Lindsay and children Felicity, Emily and Jordan. With extensive international showrooms and distribution, The Romo Group now has six brands, each with their own in house-design studio creating exclusive fabrics, wallcoverings and accessories for the luxury interiors market. With over 350 employees, The Romo Group is recognised worldwide with exports totaling 72.5% of sales. The Romo Group previously received this prestigious award in 2008 and since this time has further developed its existing fabric and wallcovering brands using design and innovation to maximise sales potential throughout the world.
