about children’s ministry and have a heart to serve those who are in the foster care system. General Ministry Teams General Ministry Teams provide students with opportunities to work with local churches, ministry partners, and serve in many different capacities. Students may participate in Word of Life Reverb events, student and adult church ministries, evangelistic outreach, on-campus events, and community events throughout the Tampa Bay Area. These teams are unique because students could get the opportunity to minister in a variety of different ways and settings while gaining hands-on ministry experience and growing in service, leadership, and outreach. Student Council The Student Council is a ministry team that has been selected to serve the entire student body. Student Council members assist in organizing and leading campus activities and service projects.

SUMMER MINISTRY PRACTICUM Students are required to complete a full-time Ministry Practicum during the summer in order to graduate the program. The Ministry Practicum serves as the capstone to the Bible Institute program, providing multiple opportunities to apply what they have learned in the classroom throughout the year. This normally takes place at Word of Life Florida’s youth camp, The Coast . Only a limited number of “outside” ministries (non-Word of Life) are approved each year. These will only be considered if they accomplish the objective of the Ministry Practicum which is to “provide students with a supervised, concentrated ministry experience with an emphasis on evangelism and discipleship.” “Outside ministry” applications must be turned in no later than March 1. This date also applies to new spring semester students. Students who do not complete an approved Ministry Practicum are not eligible to receive the Bible Certificate or the Certificate of Attendance; however, their transcripts will show completed coursework and grades.
