FL Parent Orientation Booklet

Most institutions to which our students transfer have worked with us regarding the dates our graduates must report to their school. During the summer, all requests for special permissions should be directed to The Coast Camp Director. The Bible Institute staff acts only in an advisory capacity during the summer Ministry Practicum. TRANSPORTATION On arrival/departure days surrounding the beginning and ending of semesters and student breaks, we offer shuttle runs for students unaccompanied by parents to and from the Tampa International Airport at 9 AM, 12 PM, and 3 PM and to Saint Petersburg/Clearwater Airport upon request. There is a $40 transportation fee per one-way trip. For all questions relating to transportation, please call 727.379.5000. Requests need to be made 5 business days in advance. wol.to/fltransportrequest SPIRITUAL ENRICHMENT In addition to the excellent classroom instruction, the Bible Institute offers many other opportunities for students’ spiritual enrichment. These include: Discipleship Discipleship Groups (D-Groups): D-Groups are the primary mode of yearlong, intentional discipleship on campus. Led by staff members, these gender-specific groups of 3-5 people foster high accountability among like-minded students and are designed for open communication, growth, and encouragement. The Student Life Department will group students with a staff member to meet with throughout the year. Additionally, D-Group members may meet with their disciple maker one-on-one for deeper, more personal discipleship opportunities. Quiet Time Time is set aside each day for students to have their own personal time with the Lord known as “Quiet Time”. It is our desire that the students will take this important practice with them after they finish their time at Word of Life.
