To supply a PrimeDry Steel Yankee for its machine-glazed (MG) and specialty paper machine PM6. The new steel Yankee cylinder will replace the current cast iron unit on the specialty paper machine. To supply a comprehensive stock preparation system rebuild, supporting the mill’s project to install a new fine paper production line. The Scope of Supply includes MaxVrtex bale pulping systems designed to process three types of raw materials; MaxEdgeTM refiners for both hardwood and softwood fiber development; a MaxRidTM detrasher and MaxWashTM Drum for effective broke handling and cleaning efficiency; and a POMixTM stock processor for precise stock blending, together with several pumps and agitators to support the overall performance of the stock preparation line.

To supply a new machine (MP2), model EVO 16 –designed to expand APIS’s production capacity, with a focus on higher- basis-weight tissue grades such as toilet and towels produced with recycled fibre. Designed to run at 1,900m/min, the MP2 will produce papers starting at 16g/m², with a 2,800mm sheet width at the Rewinder. The project also includes two presses equipped with a hydraulic loading system, ensuring efficient water removal, stable operation, improved paper quality, and lower energy consumption. To supply two sets of hand towel papermaking equipment; the equipment model for this project is the BLW900-2850, which when producing base paper with a basis weight of 20-35g/m², the equipment can operate stably at a high speed of 900m/min. To supply a EVO 16 Tissue Machine. The new MP4 was developed to produce between 72t/d and 92t/d, with basis weights ranging from 12.5g/m² to 28g/m². With a design speed of 1,900m/min and a sheet width of 2,780mm at pope reel. To modernize PM5 and bring new automation capabilities, updated hardware, improved quality control and refreshed drive technology to a machine that supports a significant share of Billerud’s global packaging output. The upgrades aim to improve efficiency, strengthen cyber security, reduce energy and material use and build a platform ready for next- generation digital and AI tools. The modernization project brings several core systems onto ABB’s latest platforms, including an upgraded ABB Ability™ System 800xA®, new- generation AC800M controllers, refreshed quality control capabilities and updated drives.
