S P O R T S COUGARS START NOVEMBER GAME SCHEDULE WITH TWO WINS

The Vankleek Hill Cougars had a good start to their November schedule of games. The Cougars crowned the Bytown Royals 6-4 at the end of a road match November 1, which included a hat trick from Jonathan Lacroix. Scoring solo points for Vankleek Hill were Nicolas Castonguay, Justin Chaumont, and Samuel Lemay. Assisting on the goals for Vankleek Hill were Castonguay, Trystan Lavoie, Keean McEachern, and Christophe Quann. Frederick Durocher-Bourdon guarded the Cougars’ net. Scoring points for Bytown were Samuel Constantineau, Nick Dempster, Nicolas Loyer, and Samuel Paquette. Goal assists came from Constantineau and Andrew Franzese. Zachary Bourassas was in the net. The Cougars beat Saint-Isidore 7-4 in a Saturday night home game, with single goals shooting into the opposition net from Nico- las Castonguay, Vincent Huneault, Trystan Lavoie, Jonathan Leblanc, Zacharie Leblanc, Samuel Lemay, and Keean McEachern. Assisting on the goals were Lavoie and the two Leblanc’s, along with Nikolas Ayotte, Zack Labbé, and Jonathan Lacroix, with Durocher-Bourdon again guarding the net. Scoring for Saint-Isidore were Kevin How- son with two goals and Frédérik Laflèche and Alexis Leclerc with single goals each. Goal assists came from Jacob Lamoureux, Bruno Leclerc, Xavier Leclerc, Patrick Ranger, and Ryan Wells. Irving Dawson was in the net. Next games for the Cougars are November 8 in Metcalfe against the Jets and at home the next night against the West Carleton Inferno. Clarence Creek The Castors had to settle for one win and one tie for the start of their November hockey schedule. The Castors grounded the Metcalfe Jets 7-3 in their November 1 road game in Metcalfe, with Samuel Gaudet and Jacob Servant each scoring two goals apiece. Tos- sing in single points for Clarence Creek were Byron Gagne-Lavictoire, Brandon Legare, and Zachary Payer. Assisting on the goals were Gaudet, Legare, Servant, Garrett Dearborn, Nicholas Gaumont, Cameron Leduc, Nathan Melée, and Gabriel Rouselle. Ryan Zammit guarded the net.
