Contact Originators Wins FIA UK Repro Company of the Year Award Contact Originators, reportedly the UK’s largest indepen- dent prepress provider, has been named Repro Company of the Year 2026 at the Flexographic Industry Association UK (FIA UK) Print Awards held in Liverpool, England, on June 11. The award follows Contact Originators’ success at the inaugural Esko Dot Awards, where the company re- ceived international recognition for its contribution to an award-winning corrugated post-print project with Smurfit Westrock.
SAUERESSIG is an international manufacturer of print- ing and embossing cylinders for the packaging and sur- face finishing industries. By working with Hybrid Software, the company is implementing a unified and scalable work- flow infrastructure designed to ensure consistent qual- ity, greater efficiency, and reliable production processes across multiple locations. The project focuses on standardizing and automating prepress workflows across SAUERESSIG’s production network. Hybrid Software’s modular workflow technology is said to enable centralized process control, automated data verification and preparation, transparent approval workflows, and seamless integration with upstream and downstream production systems. Flint Group Packaging Solutions Awarded Bio-Based Innovation Flint Group Packaging Solutions has been presented with a gold award in the Technical Innovation (Supplier) cate- gory at the 2026 Flexographic Industry Association (FIA UK) Awards for its TerraCode Bio range of bio-renewable ink solutions. Recognition At the ceremony on Thursday, June 11, judges recog- nized TerraCode Bio for its blend of environmental and performance benefits. The water-based ink system is de- rived from up to 90 percent bio-renewable and recycled materials, helping deliver proven CO₂ reductions of up to 25 percent. Designed for applications including corrugated pack- aging, industrial bags and sacks, food service packag- ing, and film, the range reportedly enables printers and converters to transition toward renewable materials while maintaining consistent print quality and productivity. The Repro Company of the Year accolade is awarded to the reprographics provider whose work contributed to the highest number of award-winning print entries rec- ognised at the annual FIA UK Print Awards. Established in 1992, Contact Originators has more than 30 years of experience serving the print and pack- aging industries. Operating from its production facility in Dukinfield, Manchester, the company employs more than 70 peo- ple and supplies prepress services to corrugated, flexible packaging and label converters across the UK, Europe and North America. SAUERESSIG, Hybrid Software Repro, Workflow Processes The SAUERESSIG Group and Hybrid Software have en- tered into a strategic agreement to support the standard- ization and digitalization of SAUERESSIG’s global repro and workflow operations.
